Train (ing) Derailment

As you may all know I have been training for the Eugene Marathon at the end of April but in the last few weeks I have had a bit of a training stall, or training derailment as I like to call it.  Mostly because I feel like a train wreck :)  First two weeks ago while at a lovely dinner with my sweetie at Tilth.  I had a sudden numb feeling in my fingers and pain in my left shoulder and neck.  I was pretty unable to move or work for 3 days and have started physical therapy for this and it's going well.  I even was able to run my long run of 12 miles just over a week ago.  I was a little nervous but it was great, no pain in my neck or shoulder and I did a great job even finishing in a fairly fast time! I was sooooo excited thinking my training was back on track.

Then... last week I started to get "the crud" as we call it in the ER.  AKA one of the little germ disseminators gave me some lovely virus (my money is on RSV) completely knocking me on my butt for multiple days which completely cut out any chance of running.  I was finally able to run a little on Saturday and then again yesterday.  I just feel like I have lost so much of my training and am just hoping I can put this train(ing) back on the right tracks so I can get to that starting line on April 29th in Eugene, Oregon (in all my Husky gear of course) and to that finish line later on that day.  I want to cross that finish line no matter what it takes or how long it takes, it is more of a personal goal of getting to that finish line.  So if I have any followers out there try to help me visualize crossing that finish line in a few months, thanks!
